First of all, I have to say that I have the best husband in the world who totally supports my journey to learn all I can about photography! When I heard about Melissa Rodwell’s Fashion Photography Workshop, I just HAD to go! Most of my work is done using natural light and I knew this workshop would be a great place to gain exposure in learning how to light for beauty and fashion. I loved her straight-forward and very honest insight regarding the fashion industry and I learned a lot about lighting. Here are some photos from the workshop that I attended last month. Melissa hired the most amazing stylist, makeup artist, hair stylist and models for this seminar. It was eye-opening to see the TEAM effort in achieving the the final look. I did take these photographs, but the credit goes to Melissa and the stylists/artists for setting this all up! Can’t wait to try this with a team in Austin! I just need to save $$ for some of this cool lighting equipment!

My sweet girl will be 7 this August. HOW can that be? She has gone from baby to mini-teenager??!! She is so sweet, so kind, so patient with baby brother - so patient with ME. It is definitley a privilege to be her Mom.

This beautiful couple lives in Canada and will be married next year. All I can say is CHEMISTRY - they have IT. They were visiting her sister in Houston, so we got to do a fun photo in sister’s Versace room - yes, to die for! Ciao!

This gal is graduating from high school this year and she has the world on a string - seriously! Gorgeous, talented, smart - and NICE - there is nothing is girl can’t do. Did I mention she is also super sweet and kind???? OMG and check out her cool blue shoes….I covet them!
PS - sorry about the neglected blog. I needed to spend time with my family since I think they forgot what I looked like, having not seen me during the months of November and December when my photo biz is insanely busy. I have some more cool photos to show next week. Ciao!

I have stopped “sneak peeking” sessions and am fast and furiously trying to get everyone their edited images, prints, cards, canvases, etc. I plan on updating my web site in January, but for now, here is an example of photo before and after Photoshop. Doesn’t some editing do wonders for the colors?
Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! I hope you have a beautiful holiday!
Back to work now!….
